Tutorial
Tutorial (for PSP7):
01. Get an image, crop it to however you want the icon to look. I'll be using picture of Patrick Dempsey from![[info]](http://l-stat.livejournal.com/img/community.gif)
dempsey_daily.
02. Sharpen the icon. I sharpened twice, it'll depend on the picture you're using
03. Push Shift+B or go to colors > adjust > brightness. Brightness: -20, contrast: 10
04. Duplicate it and set to screen. Merge layers.
05. Duplicate and set to soft light, then go to colors > colorize. Hue: 0, saturation: 0
06. Paste as a new layer and set to burn.
07. The end result. It'll probably look different depending on the picture.
